Whatevers fucking cut will be Tory cuts Reggie but it will be blamed on the previous Government as 'tough choices'.
Trouble is the so-called tough choices by the Green Dave will affect the most vulnerable in the same way the women's refuge, homestart, help for homeless and many other things have had their funding stopped here, while new robes for the mayor and increased pay for councillors have been the priority.
They are also spending millions on a regeneration that isn't needed and will fail to achieve its objectives which is hardly fixing the roof but is going ahead because the Tory leader wants it.
I don't go with this winter fuel bollocks there is more information and support out than there ever has been and anyone dying has died through their ignorance, that of their families or the so-called charitable support organizations that claim to represent them.
That said if something has to be affected to pay for winter fuel etc I suggest the first thing is a pay freeze for MP's.

Time to take off those rose-tinted specs and ditch the dogma, Randy.
Just because NuLabour like to coin poncy terms like "efficiency savings" and "restructuring" as fig leaves for the cuts that they make, they're still cuts.
Here's a nice example for you:
And you want to talk about wasting money? Then look no further than the track record of NuLabour.
Of course they're fond of saying that they've invested so and so many billions in schools and hospitals blah blah, but most of it has gone on consultants, adminstrators and bean-counters and not into the front line where its needed most. Plus a lot of ancillary stuff at hospitals (cleaning, phone services etc.) has been farmed out to the private sector, with the inevitable drop in standards as contractors pursue pure profit while not giving a fuck about the patients.
You've got schools closing up and down the country, post offices, schools, nurses losing their jobs .... the list goes on.
NuLabour care about ordinary people? I don't fucking think so!
But no doubt you'll probably seek to blame it all on the Tories pre-1997. You know - "tough choices" and all that.
- Eric

You see Colonel, when you post something like that, you really show yourself to be ignorant and blinkered, you dont know me personally. I would be the first person to help anybody out, believe me I have done some really good things to make many peoples lives better, and without any publicity like some, I have also sat in the pub night after night talking to war veterans, and help fund raise and organise events for them, and will continue to do so, the difference between us is that I can afford to be generous to people who deserve some help, and I am, you could probably afford to be, but probably dont.

Actually Eric I get very tired of excuses like pre 1997 etc.
I also get tired of posts that fail to take into account what the Tories did and the simple fact that they will do exactly the same next time around.
They are using clever words and phrases to justify themselves now one being a new culture of thrift.
Schools closing? What will primary schools becoming acadamies do?
Dont forget Post Office closures is due to bad management plus new technology and other issues not related to business which should be ignored.
I'd go on but as you've mentioned privitization for the other issues and it's a tory flagship I prefer to go to bed.

Liz you appear to have taken offence to colonel for making assumptions about you but then close by making assumptions about him.
Hope you're not creating one rule for some and another rule for others.
It caused a lot of issues the last time it happened here and became very boring, very quickly.
If you both can't make comment about an issue without making an assumption about the other poster it's probably best if you both don't make them.

"Liz you appear to have taken offence to colonel for making assumptions about you but then close by making assumptions about him."
Thats because he made an offensive remark Andy, I didn't.
There's a big difference between an offensive remark, and an assumption.
