There are plenty patriotic people who may feel a tad guilty for not putting their two minutes to mark their respect in.

I could give excuses but they are so boring to you I dare not say why. Truth is I missed my window until someone brought it up.

Given your reply has absolutely nothing to do with my post highlighting that over ?4million had been collected around the Remembrance Service events and that it is clearly not an "empty gesture" for all the servicemen and their families who are helped by the British Legion, there isnt much point in continuing a non-conversation.

PS Until this tax that you mentioned comes along, go on, why not make a contribution to the servicemen and their families! You don't have to wear the poppy or go to the Cenotaph, to do that, you know! You obviously feel so, so strongly about this.

The British Legion dont interrogate the servicemen "Do you respect the Cenotaph Service" No. Sorry we can't help you. Err. I dont think it works like that.
