Adding to my thesis (The End of Capitalism) why co-operationism would provide more than competition is that there are economic laws one of which is "An increase in supply means a decrease in price"
What the capitalist economic system does is for the state to purchase increases in supply of food, for example, above a certain level and destroy them to maintain high prices thus depriving the people of cheaper food.
