No, the Scottish Executive - as it is officially called. I think what happens with the four principalities that make up the UK is certainly the business of everyone living within the UK. British taxes are spread out over all corners of Britain. In fact England largely supports Scotland financially so the people of England certainly have a right to have a view on all this.

Well argued.

As I've also argued above, London effectively subsidises everywhere else in the UK but you don't get middle Englanders moaning about the subsidy they receive from the cockneys; they are far too busy using the same argument to their own ends, moaning about money-grabbing jocks/irish/taffies etc.

I am amused and baffled by the pack mentality, too; just because you happened to exit your mother's vagina in a certain geographic location (or move elsewhere later in life), you apparently have carte-blanche to personally enjoy the virtue of whatever benefits or characteristics espoused by that geographical location. For example, using such a mentality, a dole-loving work-shy arsehole from middle England could come on here and stick it to anyone who lives in an area perceived to be a bigger drain on the public purse.
