Internet maybe...... ???

Before to book a model you went via an agency or studio, both companies would insist the model got off her backside first, went in for a quick test shoot, she them did the rounds of the photographers hiking her pics about.

I met Pat Wynn at a studio and she gave me my first job.

Now anyone can post a quick webcam pic, claim to be a model and not be arsed to get out of bed!!!!!!

Have to agree that I think this is a big part of the present situation, after all I'm sure all the guys going off to various east european countries are booking girls via agencies, not the net

Yet here, it now seems to be mostly web based models, or word of mouth, particularly if looking for new models

Also, there's almost no comback on either model or photographer, if they've only dealt by the net/email, if one or both doesn't bother to turn up (and yes, I had a no show today)

Remember though, there are still some great girls out there, I think its mostly the newcommers who are letting the others down at this point in time

all the 2005 no show no contact no excuse girls we had were all established models who post on here asking for work. cant see how the industry can continue with such un pro workers but then again the other side of the lenz is just as bad malc

Certainly some of the new girls are bad at correspondance -
Usual routine

I send initial brief enquiring email
They reply " I'm interested, please send more details "
I send more details
They fail to respond

OK they get probably get bulging inboxes but since it takes but a few seconds to reply actually I'm not interested / don't do ......... / don't work on ****day etc they are not helping themselves.

However the last minute excuses this year have been by two long established girls.

I would rather work with keen enthusiatic amateurs, just finding the genuine ones is hard work!!
Any guidance appreciated!!

Oh, I don't know, some of the 'so called' established models can be just as unreliable (if not more so!) than the new girls........oh how I'd love to name a few names.......!wink!
