Interesting to see the range of opinions posted. Bit odd, some people labelling as 'defensive' our wish to keep our internal business plans to ourselves. But, some of the more informed speculation above has got it right. Cheers

Dude your answer is the odd bit... I am not asking the indepth running of your company, a simple question as to why your paysite as no affiliatte programme... let me go post this on another board... I will link you to the response it gets... it may however not be pretty... lol

They are DOORS into your SHOP, your shop being your website/product... a shop without a door is pretty silly... each affiliatte weather he is running a banner ad promoting you, a free hosted gallery, or a simple link is offering another door into your site... a way for the surfer to find your site and part with their hard earned money... The more DOORS the better...
You can have the best product in the world... but if no one can see it then it wont sell shit... Some affiliattes will send you small amounts of traffic, some a bucket load... some will be high quality traffic and some useless... if you convert at 1/400 or better then your doing ok... 1/200 your doing great...
Do any of you UK guys even do member area upsells which should convert under 1/20... you should all network up to upsell each other in your relevant members areas...
Paul is right you shouldnt rely on your affilaittes... your own sales are huge, I mean you get all the sale to yourself... but unless you can hire an affiliatte manager and have a dozen outsourced monkeys promoting your site you will struggle... developing a traffic hub as well as running your sites is definetly a hard job... your affiliattes are golden... yes your giving away 50% but as I said 10% of a million is better than 100% of a 1000 !

No offence Hiwatt but the navigation is terrible. I'm sure you wil rembed this on generation 2 but I fear a lot of people will have lost interest by then, if they havent already.
You really have to dig in to see anything on the site and I really cant see a surfer spending time having a look at the site before his dick goes down.
Then its game over.
No doubt you will say i am wrong and that you have one hundred million sign ups a day but I remain sceptical when there are sites I know doing well where the customer can feast his eyes on the goodies in one or two clicks.
Your site has loads of text but nothing that really draws anyone in. Ho wcan anyone determine the quality of your product by a load of fancy graphics and shots that do not differentiate it from another hardcore site?
I appreciate you are doing something unique and different but it looks to me that its lost in translation.
