First of all I don't have an argument, I have an opnion, which is not for or against, just exploring both sides and is quite open to change. You quite clearly don't understand this opinion becuase you got it wrong in trying to paraphrase it. Because animals cannot give consent (and is this strictly true? They can't speak our language, but are there not physical signs? Again - this is exploring a view, don't make the mistake of thinking I'm pro all of a sudden for asking a question) then to engage in fucking an animal is, I think, not right. Yet if an animal chooses to fuck a person and that person is happy with this, consent is not an issue because both sides are consenting. Don't bring children into this to confuse the issue - it's like bringing paedophilia in when you talk about homosexuals. Totally different arenas. I shouldn't need to tell you that I think engaging sexually with children who's sexuality is still developing is always wrong.

Dissapointing attitude, magoo. Not because you are against sex with animals - if I was forced to pick a side (which I'm not) then I'd be on yours, but because of your shoddy reasoning. First of all I would not be so quick to suggest that it is unnatural. Though it may be a rare thing for species to engage sexually with others, does that invalidate that desire should it occur? And just what is natural? What is your definition and how do you justify it? By picking two or three of the more well known animals and saying 'they don't do it so it's not right'? It is precisely because there are people so quick to prop up this ridiculous notion of 'normality' that there are also so many cries of "perverted!!" When someone doesn't quite fall into this construct. Magoo, I'd say a lot of people would call your interest and consumption of pornography "sick" and would suggest you "need help" - are they right? Of course not. But why do they say that? Because they're stupid enough to believe there's something called 'normal' - they are it (we always include ourselves as normal person #1) and you are not. And because you are not there is something wrong with you (they would say).

Now since there is no normal, I'm not suggesting that "anything goes" but certainly wouldn't wish to come up with a million and one rules. I think a general principle of no harm, though inadequate on it's own, is a good place to begin. And what harm is it doing you (or them) if someone wishes to be fucked by something not of their species? Is it harming them? No. They are chosing for this to happen, and what right do you have to declare that "sick"? Is it harming the animal? No. They are the instigators (I do, as I've said, have issues with things the 'other way around') Is it harming you? No - it's none of your concern. Is it harming our gene pool? Are you serious? It's such an unusual fetish that it won't make a scrap of difference, and no human has ever gotten pregnant by engaging in cross species sex.

Like I said, it's not for me. I wouldn't enjoy engaging in or watching it, I don't think. But I'm always wary of people who shout others down on the basis that they don't fit in to what they've decided is "normal" without justifying their normality a little better then resorting to emotive nonsense.

The real issue of animals & humans engaging in sex is disease not consent IMO
