"On Deadly Ground" Can't quite get to grips with the eco-friendly blowing up of an oil refinery. Interesting concept though.

And as Sean Connery (or "Big Tam" as we call him) has been the subject of part of this thread, I'd like to say that he was THE best James Bond. All of which is an excuse for this:

but connery never attended the bond reunion 40 yrs of bond last year,stirred but not shaken.

Back on thread, Gene Hackman---as near a guarantee as one can get that a film will be worth watching. Never better than in The Conversation, but you can name almost any of his films and be assured of quality acting.

hackman , i agree there recently saw him in enemy of the state it was a cool night i was gonna have a 60s night but watched this film instead and was compelled,he was good as popeye doyle too in french connection.

Gene Hackman is class, even some of his labourious films like BAT-21, he still shines.
Liam Gallagher called his last snot nosed kid Gene after Hackman

Who was the Drill Officer out to break them a real hard nut british actor ?

Looked like he really was ex-army , amazing actor hard as nails would be

making wicked British Gangster movies if he was still alive !

saw james foxs younger brother in a man in a suitcase ep,and avengers very cool great twist at the end bit obvious but good.

it was a saturday the searchers were on took a quick look in the tv quick,noticed the gene hackman 1 was on thats it really the monkees were out ready,im glad i watched that man is good even in superman as lex luthor he was good.
