I'm afraid you've fallen into one of the classic music quiz traps. It was actually ex-Fleetwood Mac singer Dave Walker who replaced Ozzy in 1977 after the "Technical Ecstasy" album and tour. However Ozzy re-joined shortly afterwards to record "Never Say Die" with Sabbath before quitting permanently.

It's a bastard question, it gets everyone!

Due to popular belief, Ozzy didn't quit, he was fired by Iommi and Butler due to his drug dependance and unwillingness to return to the UK after settling in LA in 1979

Good lad Rudie, although Blizzard of Ozz was dropped after 1st album, it was then just Ozzy Osbourne
