After years of Tory Government and poll tax ect,I actually liked Tony in his early years as PM.It wasn't untill the Iraq war kicked in and we seen innocent people killed on a daily basis and his lack of leadership that i lost all respect for him.

I disagree Mucho, but I take your point, the thing is when a government gets a good kicking the government in waiting promises the world and they have to deliver on SOME of it, so a change of Government- even for 4 years can be a good thing! If Blair had listened to the public and his own MP,s about going to war in Iraq, he would still be riding reasonably high. But he didn,t-so he's not, he will be remembered for some thing's but mostly for taking our troops to war and therefore indirectly being responsible for thier death. Not to mention the sad security state we now find ourselves in, as for N.I, I believe Major was a big player there, also credit to Paisley for selling it to his followers, without that, peace would never come to N.I.
It still makes me puke that we have to have Brown as our LEADER, I can understand a minister changing post without some sort of ballot, but a PRIME MINISTER should be voted in by the people, and not just succeed by default.

I,m not here to defend the Tories Nando. but how do you know things would be worse, we haven,t had a Tory government for years, and it,s even longer since the thatcher creature was in power, they all have to take the middle ground now, maybe they will be a good thing. or there is always the BNP.

And don't forget the bullying of the poor with stealth taxes, his open boarders policy, ID cards (Big Brother anyone?), the cuts in DLA for certain people with disabilities, and the threats to force same people with disabilities into low paid jobs "or else!".
