I think for the most part its the Studios driving the stars to be high profile
which in turn leads to the publics craving for more of anything

Some of the outfits that are worn for film premieres are nothing more than
grubby attempts to garner publicity IMHO

My comment was aimed primarily at those who are celebs, just cause they know their way around the Media Circus.

True, they aren't really an idiot in the true meaing of Idiot, but I meant in the masses being in awe of them, & their only reason for being a Celeb, is for the stated reason above.

My view of some1 who is SHOULD be called a Celebrity, is those who WORK for their status, whether they are an (either male or female) Actor, Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Director, Dancer, Pianist, Author, etc etc etc...

Those that get called a Celeb(rity) just cause they spent x amount of weeks in a Reality TV Show, or cause their "Daddy/Mommy is rich/celebrity" & or cause they can bend the Media/Papparatzi to their whim is absolute fucking bullshit.

If I was to become an Actor/Porn Actor/Singer (I can't sing, but that's not the point, lol)/Author/etc, I would hope it is because of the time, effort, practise & sheer amount of hard work/determination into getting to that status, because of what work I was doing, not because of knowing how to manipulate the press/masses.

The papparazzi only do so because the editors will pay what ever to get THE SHOT

I can understand the attraction to want to know more about your favourite actor/actress/singer etc but only in relation to their work

I can't see what the fascination is with the endless parade of everyday life photos unless you've become obsessed

I'm not directly blaming only celebs (or so called wannabe's) or celeb culture, it's a mix of both (inc the bullshit hype by the press/media).

I totally agree with you, I have been an absolute fan of Kylie ever since I was 15 & I first saw her on TV. However, I DO NOT need to know where/how/why/when she takes a dump, where she likes to eat, or what her drinking/food/cosmetic habits are.
