Well observed Andy.
Try calling the BBFC and getting them to explain this and they'll say something along the lines of...it was art and integral to the storyline and therefore was not sexual and not designed to arouse because of its horrific climax.
In other words the examiner didnt get wood watching it so it must be ok.
In short, the story was driven by a womans pleasure. Not a man. So that must be ok as well.
Take Straight Heads a promising film with an annoying and dissatisfying conclusion that sees a woman shooting a man in his rectum with a shotgun. I'm sure if it was a man committing this act to a woman they would have taken umbrage to it.
I'm sure if it was a homosexual firing a cannon up a blokes arse and his head exploded in shards of skull shrapnel and blood this would have been ok too.
Us nasty men have to be monitored because we are not mature to deal with these things without crashing to our knees in an uncontrollable bug eyed manner, sweating profusely, frothing at the mouth tugging our dicks furiously over these kinds of images that depict the weaker sex as inferior ...unless you are a woman it seems.
