age of consent laws are old an antiquated IMHO
written by those that most likely preach abstinence & no sex before marriage
Like nonme of us have ever been fooled into thinking a girl was a lot older than her real age?

At no point, as far as we are aware, has Mike Freeman advocated breaking the law. Changing it, yes, to the extent it would be comparable to other European states such as Italy. But not breaking it. A profound distinction.
Regardless, 'warren zevon rip' has deemed Mike's wish to lower the UK age of consent (something about which we have no opinion) to be equivalent to advocating child sex. Presumably, if sex with someone below the age of majority is to be the accepted definition of paedophilia, even where it is legally sanctioned by the state, that would also indicte the UK, where the age of consent is two years below the age of majority ().
And what of the many countries with an age of consent higher than our own ()? Are they not then entitled to view us as a haven for legally endorsed paedophilia? Or does the UK afford the only acceptable benchmark for the age at which one can have sex?
If we thought that anything Mike had posted was even close to what warren zevon zip accuses him of - i.e. illegal sex with children - his posts would have been deleted and his profile barred, immediately. What could it possibly benefit us to allow someone to express such views? No, the real abuse here is by warren zevon rip. Both his abuse of logic and his abuse and harassment of another member.
This is just the tip of a very large iceberg, though. There have also been innumerable occasions on which he has re-posted comments removed by us for being libelous, abusive, or mendacious towards other forumites. All of which is testament to his contempt for our management of the forums. It's no exaggeration to say that he would have been barred long ago from most other moderated forums but our indulgence is at an end. Much like the scorpion who can't resist stinging the frog, we now accept that abuse and intimidation are integral to his nature. It cannot go on and it will not.
He had warnings but chose to ignore them:
