What I love are the pronouncements by both her and 'Blakey's' parents. They should be roasting with shame that they've produced addicts for kids.

The ghoulish glee of the media in pursuing Amy Winehouse baffles me. She's an addict, end of. What's the story? Same thing with Doherty, except he's devoid of talent. Why are pictures of someone in the death-choke of addiction worth looking at?

Tell me she's a genius when there's a track record of brilliance and she's knocking-out brilliant stuff year after year. Okay, the industry has changed but if you look at the zenith of any band or artist they've usually produced brilliance over a four year period which meant an album a year with perhaps non album singles and b-sides which were equally brilliant. The expectations on Winehouse are different - 3 years between albums which means she's got more time to regroup, or more time to dissipate the talent which is what it looks like.

Good voices are not in short supply, and I also think she and others have any visceral quality in the voice trained out of them so what you get is a technically good voice which is marketed on the basis that it sounds like someone else - Joss Stone/ Janis Joplin. In the case of Winehouse i'm not convinced there's a major talent there but that's a personal view and i'm quite prepared to acknowledge that other people think differently.

Nicest dream: going to bed with Anna Kournikova.
Worst nightmare: waking up with Amy Winehouse...

Instead of saying no to rehab

She should Go! Go! Go!

Having said that the media are doing right by their job. They will pick the skankiest picture to reflect Amys drug problem.

They're hardly going to be kind really are they?
