I see. And would you vote for Cameron if he joined the Labour party and his policies changed to be in line with his new colleagues'?

Why do you care? You've already stated you haven't got the time so why should I google yet more examples of apologies? I've already proved he has apologised after you implied he hasn't...........'ever'.
I know he's apologised over the expenses scandal without even googling it, as has Cameron. If you want a debate then fine, but stop moving the goal posts when I answer something and back it up with proof.

So you say you would still vote for Cameron if he defected and kept his policies, but not vote for him if he did change his policies?
That's interesting, then, because it backs up my claim that most people vote on policy and not the individual. Your opinion on whether to vote for Cameron or not was purely based on the policies he believes in.
Thank you.

If I was someone wanting to vote for someone with a centre-right agenda, who seemed competent, who came across like they could cope if the nation was in crisis (domestically or a war situtation, or whatever), then I would vote for them if they were leading a party, yes, and irrespective of what that party was because it would be of the political ideal that I was into because its leader would be. So many true-blue tradional Tory people shifted to Tony Blair in the 1990's because he was offering a way of doing things the same as what the Tories used to offer, with more social justice thrown in, so in that sense they 'voted Tory' and got 'a Tory party' it was just called 'Labour'.

So you don't vote for individuals but policies. We're getting somewhere.
Now, onto leaders: do you think a leader dictates to his/her party what the policies are or do you think policies are formed from many individuals and the leader is just the party-elected spokesperson?
Me, I think the latter. Different leaders have more or less sway in which direction a party is heading, sure, but in general it's the consensus of opinion that a leader has to follow otherwise they'll be challenged and removed from within.
