Because many of the con artists who put up for parliament, and get the electors vote for them, are either unable to work together for the good of the country or do not wish to so.
They are much more interested in lining their own pockets at the tax payers expense

Im all for scrapping ID cards tho im not sure about Trident,unless it can be explained to me how you keep that skills base(technology,production,design etc etc etc ) active ... and in the Uk.
