Hi Max,

If their reasoning for the multi-faith thing is "to reflect the rich, diverse, cosmopolitan make-up of our inclusive society" (or words to that effect) then I wonder why they dump the other faiths for that one week when they have the carol service."
If you look at the link I gave you to the Church you will see that it is basically a standard Christian pattern of services throughout the entire year. No different from other Christian churches throughout the land. The multi-faith service strikes me as very much the exception and to be honest a nice thing to do to bring people together for a candlelit procession through the streets to the hospice.
I guess my point is that the church are clearly doing this as a matter of choice and all power to them. So it is definitely not a question of they have to do this or they cant have a xmas service because obviously with carols and mulled wine, they dont have any problems. It is merely a choice that the Church makes without any outside pressure whatsoever.
