i wouldnt name and shame on the internet rather an odd whisper in peoples shell like, the word soon gets around...

The problem with this is it can get over exaggerated and blown out of proportion and I think chinese whispers can end up being more malignant in the long term.

I'm all for putting a stop to that and just having it out and at least have the accused fess up or give their side of it

The direct approach is always best I find.

Any producer who doesn't care about checking certs isn't going to be worried after reading this thread.

It starts with a "warning" and then it turns into a discussions about the repercussions from naming and shaming these producers.

I bet they are all trembling in their corners now...

Quaking in their boots was not the result we're looking for Hugh. That means nothing in itself.

We're not trying to breed fear. We're just saying the next person who intentionally screws up this way is gonna get named

If this is going to be a criticism for not spilling the beans on those individuals I would like to remind everyone here that no one else has taken the initiative to do anything about it.

Its not as if we are the only ones to know about this

Well they may well be now that they know that Terry OEJ means business, and at the very least the debate thats happened on this post means that it has stayed near the top of the page giving more people the chance to read it and hopefully get the message....

So, the next person who does it is going to be named and shamed?
I believe that when I read it.

You got it Planet.

As I said Hugh...Why wait for us to say anything. Others in th ebusiness outside of this association should be coming forward. It shouldnt be left down to us but n the other hand, you dont know me.

I am a man who says what he means and means what he says and the BGAFD forum has it on record

Don't be too suprised Hugh. We're the only ones except for AIR that have a report a no show forum that works for producers and models already and the fact Ive posted a warning is more than anyone else has done about this so far.

I think in fairness to those in UKAP, they can't be expected to raise a posse to, "Hunt them fellas down, dead or alive!" It is their job to alert performers that there are people abusing the current system, not only in terms of this particular topic but also in cases of possibly forged tests, so performers should be on their guard when taking on jobs.........period!

For example, rather than waiting till you actually arrive at a job, to say at the point of booking, that you will want to see whoever you're working with's test and expect it to be an original copy with NHS or a clinic letterhead. Ask if this is going to be a problem.

If the producer (Even if he is a "Big Cheese" or big name) makes up ANY EXCUSE WHATSOVER, eg, "Don't worry love they're all on the PC at the moment and we can't get them off!", then it is up to you whether you continue to proceed with the booking. It is not up to UKAP!

People have to take responsibility for their own actions and use their common sense.
