Thanks for my next Great Idea for Taking the Piss (having studiously ignored my 'can of bees' effort........): Mr Lizard the TV Repairman, eh?
And sorry to be so awkward, only watching things like Newsnight and the Late Review.........that Alison Pearson, phwoooaarrr, and her IQ must be at least in the 40s......

Red Dwarf and Brittas Empire were both good.

They screened here in the 1980s IIRC. Late 80s though.

Basicly Kevin Eldon calls out a TV repair guy from a firm who just delivered his new tv. The tv has been releasing live lizards into the room for no reason. Then Mr Lizard the repairman turns up and behaves in a very odd fashion. You had to see it really.

Then theres the sketch about porn performers spunking themselves to death by getting "the gush".

A funny sketch with Kevin Eldon walking along the street ranting about his car coming back from the garage only two feet tall. "Who do they fink I am? Facking Noddy?".

Told you i was stuck in a time warp...the 1980s...sheesh...how time flies

So my 5 years is actually 15 and I'm not on any drugs...yet

IMO you can't beat well written scripts full of strong characters which you can identify with and subsequently remember vividly

Who could forget Colin with his assortment of skin irritations

The receptionist who kept her kids & pets in the cupboard behind the counter

cheers

It's very black humour but strangely intelligent. It's one of those comedies where you either like it or you don't. Get the video of the series out and give it a whirl, Steve and if you like it you can get the stage show too. You'll be lost if you don't watch from series one as a theme runs continually from series 1 to the 3rd one.
