That's what I was getting at earlier. But it doesn't seem relevant now- it's more what you do with the reply button at the bottom of each post.
I take your point too about trying to reply to several posts at once- but that can be covered by at least replying to one of the RELEVANT posts, not the top one.
And has it occurred to you that a lot of people don't read the posts that are put against the first few in a thread, once the thread has a few more posts in it? Your readership is being seriously affected by this strategy........

I believe a little light is beginning to dawn........and who'd have thought that a bit of split, or spilt, or otherwise disturbed, coffee would generate so many useful, informative and occasionally downright abusive, replies?
