The weird thing thing with Sadaam is, that Irac had the largest population of christian arabs in the middle east ,i think they're chaldean but i'm not too sure.Saadam himself was'nt too enamoured with Osama and his bunch of fun loving criminals, he thought they were a bit dodgy and not to be trusted and furthermore his foreign minister [Tariq Aziz] is christian.

The sad thing is that Stalin could have been stopped at an early stage. His supporters suppressed publication of parts of Lenin's will which would have ended his aspirations. Once he was in place, that was it for opposition. Even his friends suffered, and his family, and as Guilbert pointed out Georgia, his home country.
