Not everybody on a DLA was necessarily requiring the amount they received. Are you seriously suggesting that every governement should just keep paying out every benefit that previous governments paid?

Not sure you can justify someone with a disability saying they will only do "high paid" jobs. Surely if they can successfully carry out a job, and it pays at least minimum wage, than that is as fair as anyone else doing a minimum wage job. I had understood that disabled people wanted equal rights, not better rights than able-bodied. I understand that someone with a special talent/knowledge shoud get a job as appropriate to that talent as possible, but not every disabled person is in this situation.

It is not long ago that disabled rights activists were complaining that they could not get jobs, now you are complaining that they get jobs, just not good enough ones.

Let me tell you something. I'M an epileptic on medication. I was A1 in perfect health whilst on medication for 15 YEARS. But when I went for a medical for a career I wanted I was told by THE LEW LABOUR GOVERNMENT that I wasn't fit enough, not just for the career in question, but for a whole host of careers that I and even my previous doctor saw me fit and suitable for! I was told by THE NEW LABOUR GOVERNMENT that I was barred for LIFE from most of my chosen careers even though I was TOTALLY fit on my medication for 15 YEARS, and I'd have to be off the pills for 10 YEARS before I could go for some of the other careers I'd chosen. Then when I asked about other types of career training I was told it was too expensive to train me! It seems I'm only fit for Mickey Mouse training and pushing a fuckin' broom (which I've done in the past and don't want to go back!). I'm not fit for any special educational help. And to top it off the citizen's advice centre said that THE NEW LABOUR GOVERNMENT scrapped DLA for people with my condition as soon as they got in in 1997! In other words, I've got a DISABILITY when it comes to careers, but I'm merely SICK when it comes to benefits! Oh, and the "sickness" goes away as if by magic when it comes to low paid jobs, even the dangerous ones!!! All I'm fit for is means tested Sickness Benefit, the sort of thing people with bad backs are eligible for! Now, to top it all off that very same government is practically calling me a layabout and threatening my Sickness Benefit! !furious!

Now, if they'd seen sense and passed me for my medical the chances are I wouldn't be on Sickness Benefit now, but in a decent career. Nor would I have been forced off my medication, spent over 2 YEARS fighting the results of the medical, which started up my attacks again and I wouldn't have a 2 INCH CRACK on the back of my fuckin' skull, all because the government saw fit to bar me from all the decent jobs I wanted and could do in the hope that I'd go back into all the crap slave labour jobs I'd been in in the past!!!! !furious!

So now you can see why I'd prefer to put a bullet in between Tony fuckin' B-liar's eyes rather than vote for him ever again! I'd eat my shit first before I'd vote for ANY of the cunts ever again!!!! !furious!

I,m not suggesting we have a general election zippy, just a ballot to decide who get the top job, obviously within the current party. For your information, Thatcher didn,t leave office, she was forced out, Wilson developed alzhiemers and resigned, Profumo did for Mac Millan and he to resigned.
