If it's the case that I, my interests, and the issues I am concerned with are boring, then why do you keep reading what I have to say? Please, feel free not to click on my posts, I won't be annoyed or offended since, unlike your good self, I am not a chronic attention seeker who needs to lord it over his fellow forumites to bolster his fragile ego. If I find another forumites interests boring and his views inconsequential, I don?t make a song and dance about it, I simply don?t read his posts. That?s all there is to it. As I don?t see my views or interests altering much in the immediate future let me save you the trouble of reading my posts by saying they will probably be boring ones in a similar vein to those that have gone previously.

But of course it?s not really that my posts are boring, is it? It's that they are dangerously intelligent and reasoned (to your self proclaimed academic supremacy ? particularly as I?m just a jumped up chav) and they tend to highlight awkward facts that conflict with the social and political philosophies you have chosen to adopt.

And what?s this about the Daily Express? My Paper is The Sunday Times ? I?ve quoted from The Times, Guardian and on rare occasion the Mail or Sun ? but I don?t recall ever invoking the Daily Express. So is this simply a cheap, shabby attempt to misrepresent me?

The attack on my websites is somewhat bizarre in the context of the social and political issues we are discussing here and looks as though you are so rattled that you are ?loosing it? and veering into the realms of childish personal abuse (Ner, ner, na, ner, ner!). I?ll grant that my sites are not the best websites in the world (though certainly not the worst) and there are still issues to be addressed with them. But don?t you think those issues might be best addressed in a separate thread?

You scoff at Rod Liddle and his facts ? but I note that you don?t contradict him or them. Of course I quote Rod Liddle because I love his no nonsense style and also because he is very difficult for people like your good self to discredit ? since he has wrote for The Guardian and has been the editor of one of the politically correct BBC?s flagship news programs. So if a man like Rod is saying it then there?s the doubt in your mind that there may just be something in it, eh?

I note that you haven?t even gone near any of the assertions and allegations I made about the ?socially concerned? PC middle classes being contemptuous of respectable working folk and their innate conservatism. Difficult issues for you Warren? Do you wish they would go away? You seem to have an awful lot to say about everything else but nary a word about this. Hmm, I wonder why?

I hate to admit it, it's a good un'. It's going to catch on more than Wazzer's attempt to label Dibble.

The Express jibe relates to the limited subject matter, Officer, rather than your reading habits.

The front page of the Express tends to read

MADDIE: SHE'S ALIVE

MADDIE: SHE'S DEAD

DIANA: THE TRUTH ABOUT HER DEATH

and

IMMIGRANTS TO BLAME

Now you have a good brain, and know how to debate your point, but the subject matter tends to be limited to Chavs, immigrants, how wonderful Thatch was, and a pathological hate of the middle classes. Spread your wings a bit, Dibbsy. You have views on art and literature; express them more often.

Thank you, Carac. I sense you're a genuinely decent chap, whereas many of the middleclass sorts who espouse lefty caring, sharing, viewpoints are not really very nice people at all (OK, at the back there, mart?). These people are frequently arrogant and condescending and have only taken up ?the cause' because it was fashionable amongst their peer group at uni. Imagine being at uni in the 80's and proclaiming yourself an admirer of Mrs. T? You just couldn't do it, could you? Shit, I think that under those circumstances even I would have donned a beret, marched into the student's union bar, given the salute and declared "FREEDOM FOR TOOTING!!"

I don?t blame immigrants for everything; in fact I have a certain respect for them. They are doing just what Norman Tebitt advised ? getting on their bikes and going out to seek a better life. It?s the snotty middleclass fuckers who are waving them in that are winding me up. They don?t have to bear any of the financial or social costs associated with immigrants ? they live in leafy middleclass suburbs along with lots of other awfully concerned muesli munching middleclass folk. You can bet the middleclass run council will not be moving families of Ethiopians and Somalis into the empty gaffs on Acacia Avenue to offend the sensibilities of the ?caring? middleclass folk with third world ways and customs. No, asylum seekers, immigrants and the like will be shunted into working class areas and given flats and houses (at the taxpayer?s expense) that were meant for those who have lived here for generations and contributed, in whatever way, to make this land what it is today. The incomers have contributed nothing ? and yet they get show to the head of the queue.

Of course there are all sorts of different immigrants and asylum seekers. I think the old ?jam roles? (Poles) are great. They have great talents and work ethics. They pay the own way. Same goes for Americans, Australians, and Canadians ? there was a program about it on Channel 4. One of my very best friends is a second-generation immigrant ? he?s as dark, dusky, and ferocious looking as any Kashmir tribesman ? and the most decent chap you could hope to meet. But not all immigrants are equally worthwhile.

The fact is that we have limited resources on these all too crowed Islands. The whole third world can?t come and live here, even if we wanted to share our wealth and resources with them (which we don?t) there is simply not enough room ? crowding more in will only serve to diminish our quality of life. I don?t know about you, but I need room to stretch out and breath. I hate being hemmed in ? traffic jams, queues, etc.

But anyhow, regarding my alleged limited subject matter. Many posters seem to have a far more limited range than my good self. Yet they don?t get castigated. Is that because their posts are inconsequential and can be safely ignored? Or is it because my posts strike an uncomfortable chord?

I'm sure he did know, but others didn't and so I felt it needed clarifying.
