One thing you're forgetting is that Carvalho is tied to a contract,a contract he recentley signed.Fair enough,i know that these days contracts are'nt worth the paper they're written on,but if we can tempt the core of our team ie:Lampard,Essien to stay,then Ricky just might stay himself.
If Mourinho ends up at AC Milan,who are not in the Champions League next season,then surely Carvalho will be defeating the object of his ambitions,should he join them.

Like i said,it all depends who's the gaffer at Chelsea next season,which i'm thinking will be Guus Hiddink after Russia crash out of Euro 2008.
