Still, back on to my point (because you conveniently ignored): you do not need any more brain power to enjoy a film, play or musical album.
Can your brain comprehend this?

And as for effort and passive entertainment: you're a little mixed up now. Getting entertainment from a game is less passive than listening to a cd, or watching a film. The whole point of a game is that you're interacting with it in some way.
You seem unable to place yourself in the mind of another. What would an amateur psychologist think of this?

If it stops me from having to read harry potter,twilight or learn a new language so i can read and understand Shakespeare i'm all up for a lot more gaming
