Yes, I think you're right, here. I think it a simplistic view, though, that anyone apart from Europeans can claim to be indigenous. I think the trouble is that with Europe being so fragmented in terms of culture and language, and with so many historical conflicts and lands being exchanged it's silly of anyone (Griffin) to claim to be indigenous of one particular European nation. I am more comfortable in claiming I'm indigenous of Europe, though (in that I'm just as indigenous of Europe as the Cherokee are of North America).

I think that neither Griffin -who claimed to be indigenous- nor his detractors -claiming his claim was stupid- thought that much about the term.

The problem here is the weakness of the Home Office and MPS senior management,to stand up to this racist rubbish,as espoused by Desai and his toadies.
