You'd say yes but no you wouldnt feel better. You'd just justify it in your mind but when the money runs out and the prices go down you find people end up doing it for a lot less.

Whats the point of paying more for the same thing? I always say you wouldnt get anyhting better for 2k than you would for ?500 (or ?350 for that matter)

Also why should the payscales go up? in a lot of cases this business is unregulated and has no standards or code of practice set in stone, its paperwork is randomised in terms of sexual health, there is no real infrastructure, no real star system as such so why should producers pay more than the standard going rate?

If girls and guys performed and conducted themselves in such a way then maybe a better fee should be negotiated but the end product doesnt make any more money compared to how it used to and even then there are so many new producers in the business Im surprised that most people are not working every single day and when you add it up ?1500 for a weeks work wouldnt be considered bad at all.

Producers will pay what they can afford & the model as the choice work for it or not, ?350 or ?500 is a pretty good rate today & most models will jump through hoops for this. the point i made to B.Media is that ?350 13yrs ago was good pay & far from being peanuts..well in my world it was.

I would have to agree with you there Kim.The going rate when i came in was ?200 - ?250. Rates jumped up considerably just before the 30 day testing came in but then this preciptated a turnaround in the quality of models that were coming into the business

Why spend a lot of money on models and top of the range equipment to make porn just so others can nick your material, yes there is money to be made from porn but not in the making of it, use other peoples porn to get traffic and then turn that traffic into ?????s by re- directing the traffic to a non-porn respectable site where you then sell advertising. Planetetrotica is right about big money being got from other avenues rather than making porn, next year some time a business friend of ours is going to organise Seminars where we will advise new producers/models on how to start in porn, where to advertise etc & so on. These people will pay ?300 each & will be able to go away & earn from their advice to the best of their ability. We will always make porn as its what we do & we love it but the profit margin will get smaller in time, with so many people 'doing porn' making money from the 1000's wanting to get a foot in the door may be the next step for known producers. All this doom & gloom though is silly as most of us will be here still in a few years still moaning about things as always but if its in your blood you will find ways to adapt & survive.

I have mentioned this before but subscriptions to a lot of sites are priced in dollars and euros and now the ? pound is low against most other currencies it makes joining these sites less affordable, in just over a year stirling has lost around 30% against the euro and 20% against the dollar, this could cost as much as ?10.00 more for a monthly subscription, it dosnt sound much but in the present economic climate it could make a difference !cigar! can you smell the smoke !wink!
