Ok Bimmercat here's the cut.
I do not want to relocate to the US at all, what I was hoping to do was make frequent visits to the States to source and purchase bulk raw materials for a new product that I am hoping to promote in the UK.
Its a product that is fishing related and is unavailable in the UK, I am told to be a frequent visitor to the USA for business purposes I would need to check things out with the US Embassy.
Being a net nurd I decided to do a bit of ground work beforehand and was pointed to the Greencard Lottery site, it was with incredulation that I discovered that I was ineligible and hived off into a classification along with the undesirables of the world, it just seemed a little unfair and a smack in the mouth considering our leaders recent "love ins".

I have since been told that I can trade frequently enough in the US without any major paperwork required, so that is what will hopefully be happening.

Bimmercat please do not get downhearted we adore you guys really, I think it will take you a while longer to realise that us Brits are a moaning bunch of bastards, especially males in the 30-60 bracket which is the majority of this board.
We in general hold the USA in esteem, it just seems that we tend to get your worst rubbish shipped over here....LOL....Ruby Wax, need I say more ???

The product is connected to the Glow in the Dark industry, but as my patent in the UK is pending I won't elaberate.

Yeah agree there are some brilliant English bands, but equilly there are some terrific US bands Distillers, Rancid, Greenday are amongst my current favourites, though strangely I am hooked on the Murderdolls at the moment, they really are usually not my usual cup of tea but I can't stop playing their "Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls" CD.

"Ruby Wax" is a ghastly female US "Comediene", she is so bad that she is exiled here, lucky old you.

fajitas sound wonderful, im partial to a nice spicy chilli, as long as there is plenty of ice cold mexican "Sol" at hand, excellent with a twist of lime jammed into the bottle neck.

When my product goes ballistic with sales, you never know I might just be in Texas one day promoting it.
Tell me do they do much night fishing in the USA ??

I did not have ANY glowing words to say about the USSR.

What I DID say was that for a while the two super-powers (USA and USSR) kept each other in check. If you cannot see this, then there really is little hope for you and those who think like you.

And, of course the US did a great deal to help create both Osama and Saddam.

America have made some desperately poor foreign policy decisions and have consorted with some despicable regimes when it suits them.

You can then add to this the very one-sided terms of trade that America and the West are able to impose on more impoverished countries.

This certainly doesn't excuse any terrorist attacks on American citizens but it does help to explain them.

America has also been a force for good around the world in many areas - but it may be difficult to convince the families of one of the "disappeared" in Chile or an Iranian who suffered under the Shah of this fact.

Looks like it could be a long dispute - a significant number of Americans seem to have not the faintest inkling of why their government's foreign and economic policies cause such bitter resentment (the "whats wrong with exporting Coca-Cola?" argument highlights this point). Many of the anti-Americans around the world base their anger on a ludicrously twisted and ill-informed view of the "Great Satan" that prevents rational thought or discourse.

Trouble is I am fairly "rotund" as it is, all that rich food sounds like a recipe for an early grave.
