Had Labour stayed united in 1981, elected Denis Healey as Leader and supported the Falklands War fully, Thatcher may have been a one-term PM.
The fact she had the luck on her side is the Tories' curse now (not that I'm very upset about that). Thatcher showed us a side of Britain that many hated at the time (but were too divided to get rid of) and, now its gone, are desperate to make sure doesn't come back.
Thatcher ran Britain for the rich. Those days are gone and must not come back.
80,s
Re: 80,s
The 80s were great for:
Comedy---Young Ones, Who Dares Wins, Whoops Apocalypse
Music----The Jam, New Order, The Smiths
Sport---Aberdeen winning the Cup Winners' Cup, United getting to the final of the UEFA Cup
The 80s were crap for:
Assassinations---Poor show at Brighton
Diseases---Hello, AIDS
Music---Stock, Aitken and Waterman, burn in the fires of hell, you bastards!
Austrian wine---unless you used it in the car

In case you're not aware Von Wazzakins, USA voters can not vote in a British election. Perhaps you think they should?

And the many millions who DID NOT vote for her election after election.
