Mai dire mai a Rocco Siffredi (1995)
Re: Mai dire mai a Rocco Siffredi (1995)
I can only deal with English, Italian, and French. Somebody else with a fair knowledge of what those black foreigners were saying (probably something like: If I cum on her face, I'll be able to get a green card? How do I explain it to my mother!), will have contribute to this bloated thread. But man, they were ugly and filthy looking, and the places were filthy and dilapitaded. Who wants to screw in those type of surrounding and with those type of people. What did Rocco pay those girls to do that? Probably not enough!

Rocco Siffredi was just trying to encourage African immigration to Italy to have more black performers who would be eager to work at lower wages than the existing ones. He's a businessman after all.

The things you learn while watching porn...

... and given their mainfest lack of talent, I'd take issue with
the word 'perform' : -)
'Fail' might be more accurate.

jj, you get me wrong. He wasn't recruiting from there, he was launching a long-term plan to create a demographic basis for his future work. Sort of social engineering may be...
I have to agree that most African performers (males in particular) really lack much of talent. There is a guy named Mambo Matumba in Russia who works for Klubnichka and he is plainly ridicilous. Same goes for semi-amateur guys they hire in St. Petersburg for recent interracial titles of Devil's Film.

I wouldn't have pegged R. as a social engineer !!
I dunno much about the mechanics of this- but certainly there is
a dearth of black/Asian performers [especially males] in Europe.
I suppose the simplistic explanation is that compared to the 200-
year US head-start Europe has a way to go to catch up. But oddly,
the UK, with its comparatively longer tradition of immigration
vis-?-vis the mainland, also suffers this [in respect of males
more than females]- and no, I don't think [or hope...] it's as
simple as racism.

I don't think it is linked with racism in any sense. Just demographics. Countries with the most numerous black populations (i.e. France and Britain) have the highest number of black performers. Another point is about the relative difficulty in finding male performers. I gave the Russian example to show the dire results of the effort to find porn actors from a limited demographic pool.

There was a discussion of this topic on bgafd recently, with few
firm conclusions drawn. At least we have a [broadly] A-A producer
[Terry Stephens] and a prominent Asian performer/producer
[Anjali Kara], although the representation of both ethnic groups
is way under-representative of the demographics- although Anjali
has assembled quite a large pool of female talent.
Maybe it's a cultural thing......

Of course it is. A majority of the Black African population in Europe is arguably Muslim but the last Muslim black performer I can recall was Madou Sall. But then it was the 70s, Muslim way of living was much more 'liberal' than today's and France even had at least one softcore parallel of Madou Sall, whose name was Hassane Fall.
I don't claim any 'expertise' regarding the British porn scene but I think the first factor is the mode of consolidation of your community ethos (i.e. "What will my family say when they hear about this?") and the second is chances you'll make a better living by practising a more decent job. Accordingly, a West Indian's possibility of getting into porn biz is much higher than an Asian's and, further, a Hindu's possibility is higher than the one of a Muslim or Sikh. Naturally, we can't miss an ambiguity in this case: There has always been a demand for black male performers but I can hardly remember one for Asian male performers.
N. B: I guess we're highjacking a topic once again.

That all makes sense- I can't say I've given it much serious thought.

But it's only we three, and it's fascinating. Anyway, Alec will blow
the whistle if he's unhappy. Let's make it the longest thread in
egafd history !!
We'll have to revisit it anyway, if the alleged 240 version turns out
to be the real deal....
