Tonight at 9.00pm on ITV1 there is a re-edited version of the Martin Bashir documentary where he interviews Michael Jackson and tries to get him to admit to all kinds of things. I remember watching this when it was first broadcast and Jackson looked a bit uneasy at times, he felt later that Bashir fitted him up and that was the general view from the press aswell. It was this programme, and this programme alone, that got Jackson charged and prosecuted for you know what in Court. When they say this programme, which is on in 40 minutes, is 'edited' they will still keep in the salacious stuff and the bits where Jacko looks uncomfortable because that is ITV's style.

By the way I watched again on YouTube the clip of Jarvis Cocker invading the stage at The Brits in 1996 and 'interupting' Michael Jackson's performance of Earth Song. This was a very well reported incident for which Cocker was arrested and he spent the night in a Police cell. The Daily Mirror's "Justice For Jarvis" campaign which followed eventually got the charges dropped, thousands of t-shirts were printed with that slogan on, and Pulp's record sales soared. Have a watch on YouTube.

Cocker was unforgiveably rude, immature and self-indulgent.
Typical poppo.
He seems to have grown-up a bit since then.
