First off I want to say that I think this forum is fucking great. I?m sure the guys that run this site are very proud that their form has become the place for brit porn discussion. There are some really big players on this site and I think it says a lot for the industry that there are only a few bogus posts (for an industry with such a bad reputation).
The only thing that slightly bothers me is this recurring issue of censorship. I find it quite strange that a forum set up to discuss porn, which surely has to be the most liberal form of expression aloud legally in any normal society, is subject to so much censorship. Don?t get me wrong guys, I totally agree that personal attacks should be removed but it seems that some of the post now make no sense.

? fair enough, the guy likes to speak his mind but its a little hard for the reader to understand where you coming from when we are just told by you that some of his posts are irresponsible. I think (no offence) that you have to accept that this forum and the issues discussed on it have become bigger than you as individuals, or as a group.

I understand where you are coming from, but I think they get a fair balance. I would expect to be deleted if I was offensive same if I shouted my gob of in the pub the lanlord would chuck me out,,,and he has (two or three times),,but like the pub I always say sorry and get back in..I don't remmeber anyone getting banned from the forum. There has to be some censorship in pornography I feel responsible enough to censor my own but maybe there are a few rogue producers that can't....

Censorship (aka control) in the material we produce is one thing - censorship in what we say in discussion is something else.

Maybe there is the need for another board on this site where threads could be moved to rather than deleting them..?

That comment was not addressed at krome, but at those who criticised us for not deleting his post. If you ever had the time to read the whole forum you would know why they were deleted (I'm not suggesting you do that BTW).

As to censorship in general -

everyone is subject to libel laws including this forum

Phil's pub analogy is appropriate

trolls are best deleted without explanation as response just encourages them.

It's quite simple. This forum is a public space. What you do in private is up to you. What you do in public has to meet the requirements of the social arena.

Yes, but you're missing the point. As controllers of the site we have a responsibility about what is published here. The guidelines in the FAQ are there to protect us as much as anything. If someone gets upset by something they read on this site, who are they going to complain to first?

I really don't understand why some people are getting so uptight about this. If you stick by the rules then there's no problem.

Thanks, but you've spoiled my line. I was going to be clever and say it was a forum (i.e. for discussion) not an arena (i.e. for fights and throwing people to the lions). Just as well really.
