Legal in UK? - Color Climax Teenage Schoolgirls

Please take a look at the following link (Teenage Schoolgirl):-
http://www.yourchoice.co.uk/mags.php3
Hmm, I'm a bit dubious about this. Does this magazine feature models over 18 and who are posing as the schoolgirl fantasy? Or is it younger models? If so, isn't this wrong? Isn't this illegal?
Subsequently,
*Is the age of consent of girls who appear in hardcore magazines and DVDs in the UK at 18 years old?
*What are the import laws regarding such material?
Would appreciate any help and clarification.

The girls on those covers could easily be in their twenties.

Yes.

Yes.
Ever heard of marketing hype? There must be thousands of videos and magazines sold with similar titles. And in any case it is entirely possible for real schoolgirls to be aged over 18; so it is not necessarily feeding a 'younger than 18' fantasy.

Thanks for your help, Alec. Yes, of course, I have heard of marketing hype. However, I didn't know if these laws & regulations differ in countries abroad and that the retailer didn't realise that it's illegal to export to the UK featuring material containing models under 18 (e.g. at 16 or 17). So I thought I'd check first.

The use of models under 18 is illegal in practical terms across the entire EU.
Color Climax did use (often VERY) under-age models in the 70s, after censorship was completely abolished in Denamrk in 1969, but public pressure soon forced a return to a degree of self- (and later legislative)censorship where paedophile, bestial, violent S/M and scat material were concerned.

...topless 16 yr olds in the sun newspaper...
although with some packaging ,i.e. video covers, sometimes the cover doesn't match the contents
If I am not missing something, Mayfair in some early editions(possibly early 70's) described a girl as being 17yrs old - don't know if this was true.

I thought the legal age in Holland was over 16, hence the video company Seventeen was formed, anyway in any of Seventeens films and mags I have never seen a disclaimer saying all models are 18 or over, that is why they cannot sell to the UK market and America until they change, perhaps somebody with more knowledge will correct me.

Yeah, there was a girl (Joanne something?), snapped in her uniform, with much self-righteous fuss made at the time. Allegedly 16 or 17, plainish dirty-blonde, nice big soft boobs.
Similar to the Louise Germaine fuss around the same time........

I would imagine that, irrespective of any disclaimer, if Seventeen didn't want the Dutch police camping on their doorstep, they'd make damn' sure any girl doing more than just nude shots was, and could prove she was, over 18.

As far as I am aware, unless the law has changed recently, there is nothing illegal about photographing a sixteen year old topless or tastefully nude providing you have the permission of a parent or guardian (who, if you wanted to sell/publish the pictures, would have to sign the model release as the signature of an under 18 year old would not be legally binding).
This means that topless sixteen year olds in the daily papers are allowable and probably some of the photo sets in Mayfair, back in the 70's, which, although 'risque' at the time were not at all explicit, did show girls under 18.
