why are the times of posts never accurate ?
unecessarily irritating - if unfixable why not remove ?

They are not GMT or BST for that matter, if that's what you mean by accurate.

GMT = Greenwich Mean Time
BST = British Summer Time
Phil K will correct me if I'm wring but the times displayed are, afaik, Central Standard Time - a time zone in the USA, i.e. several hours behind us in UK.

who cares, the only reason i look at them is to see how many hours after i posted i was answered - for that reason it does not matter what the time zone is...

PST I think - Pacific Standard Time, 8hrs or so behind. So now you know whereabouts in the world our webserver is located...

Is that why the dates are all American? Isn't there a board owners option to set the dates in British style?
