This forum is nothing more than an electronic phone box, full of people advertising their wares, what happened to debate, conversation about the British adult industry etc and discussing the way that the industry in the UK can progress. All anyone seems concerned about his advertising their services, if that's all they want to do why don't you subscribe as a sponsor of the site and leave the forum to actual discussions about the industry.

No doubt I will be slaughtered for this mail and I have to admid I've had a few to drink but why is it that the most interesting debates occur on the O/T forum, all that seems to happen on this forum is self promotion of many people nobody has actually heard off or what's more care.

FORUM: - 'An assembly for DISCUSSING questions of public interest.'

It's all very well and good for contributers to this veritable e-market place to air their views, pose their questions in the hope that they will be answered by the experts in the field, celebrate rare and meaningful finds, to share their own and appreciate the jolly fine porn of others, and to some (limited) extent promote their wares and products.

But what's happening here is that this forum is being hi-jacked by the producers, and the models/girls/actresses or what ever we call then to promote their own product or websites. Note the number of postings which are signed off with a www. address etc ....... I seem to recall a heated debate after 'Wireless Mast' past comment after a certain West Country model/pornstar made a sympathetic contribution to this forum after 9/11..... but she chose to just happen to put her website address on the bottom....one wonders why.

Healthy discussion yes..... sharing of pictures/vids fine.....promotion of free sites great..!! But free advertising of your own pay for access sites and products I think ain't on.

Should not all posts advertising an individual's goods be moderated first? The they can relate that so and so has just done a new video... rather than " I've just done a new video/dvd... buy it from ..etc"

Oh the fun of it all...... methinks this will get a bit heated!!! Yes I've been to the pub too. and I'm getting a bit pissed off with the girls/their agent/producers getting free air time by getting free air time here.

There are two ways of changing the proportion of self-promotion-type posts versus topic for discussion.

One is to reduce/ban/whatever self promotiing posts.

The other is for members to post more discussion-type posts.

There is not a daily quota to the number of new threads which can be 'used up' by self promoters. If you want more topics to discuss, then start some. If your perception about the dominance of self-promoting posts is correct, then to ban them would leave a virtually empty forum.

Maybe what's needed here is another forum specifically for promoters/actresses/models/agents etc.

The only other solution is to moderate the forum and ban such posts, which is up to the forum moderator really.

I agree with alec, most 'self promoting' posts are in response to questions asking about particular subjects & models, would you rather producers keep their noses out? or inform users of topical goings on in the business?

I for one (as many other producers) only reply to on topic questions or posts on british girls, and more often than not inform users of stuff they would not normally find out.

As for signatures with links? whats the harm in it? - users do not HAVE to click on them unless they want to know more - it's all about choice.

If producers and models are driven off this board for so called spamming I bet half the users wouldn't bother posting either, it's the best interaction board I know of and good for both parties.

discussed from every conceivable angle which only leaves self promotion & off topic discussions
