She has a PhD. in Human Sexuality, so she is entitled to use the title 'Dr.' , despite not having any concrete medical background to speak of. Therefore, the claim of 'fraud' is somewhat tenuous.

However, if not Sharron, then who? At least she's actually doing something about the situation. BTW, what are the full details of the Wallice case and the extent of Sharron's incompetence that allowed five women to become infected? Please post the full story, as it would make interesting reading to guage if and how AIM has improved since then.

Ok, maybe it is true about the past situations, her PhD, you name it...but to be honest...what does that matter?

Imagine the situation if we didn't have AIM in the states, if Sharon Mitchell hadn't set it up...if we had the crap testing there that we have here, some people accepting tests up to 3 months old...imagine how many people Darren's infection could have spread to if he hadn't tested for a further 2 months because he didn't need too...then tell us all that Sharon Mitchell, while perhaps not always being perfect (and lets face none of us are) is doing a bad thing!

I's not the first time I've heard this accusation levelled at Dr Mitchell and AIM - however, as with everything; I take it on board and then make my own mind up... And from what I'm seeing at the moment - she (through AIM), seems to be doing a fine job.

I am concerned with the proliferation of - for want of a more accurate and tactful phrase - phony credentials and qualifications that can be picked up for little more than paying a few quid... I am concerned about the number of people who brand themselves "experts", "specialists" etc, etc... very often the credentials and the qualifications are meaningless and worthless...

I would like to think that BAIHA will be spearheaded by very GENUINE medical professionals - I absolutely agree that the committee should be made up of Adult Industry professionals but I feel it is equally important (for credibility) to SHOW OVERTLY that genuine medical professionals are also part of the upper echelon...

Looks like that Kris Kramski guy is a bit of an idiot though. It's very worrying that the director of Hustler doesn't even believe in AIDs or testing for it.

The fact of the matter is that no one else was or is doing anything themselves...maybe they want her to leave but without a viable alternative what a disaster that would be.

And AIM is a non profit making industry which means they charge only what they need to to cover wages and the cost of the test which in themselves aren't cheap! You have clearly put a lot of research in to some of this...get your facts right on the accusations! Sharon spear heads the organisation, AIM have trained and fully qualified technicians doing the tests, she doesn't do the bloody things herself!

Industry, not this industry, every industry is full of managers who have no ability in the areas they manage, they are just good managers. I'm not saying Sharon is, I really don't know but surely she should not be slated for improving non existent standards.
