I have read many of your posts about STDs (notably HIV) and have succeeded, up until now, in regarding them as uninformed unopionated drivel.


But after your attacks on Sharon Mitchell, without clearly knowing anything about the AIM structure or seeming to understanding anything with regard to it's intent and purpose, along with your expert knowledge on performing double-anal, your clairvoyant knowledge on how Darren came to contract HIV was the straw that finally broke the camel's back.


Firstly, the AIM team includes a highly qualified Medical Director called Stephen York, even though he is beyond the remit of AIM.
AIM aims to provide not only a testing facility for STDs but also to serve as an education and counselling facility for all who work in the sex industry, which goes beyond just porn performers but to anyone involved in other commercial sex activities such as stripping and prostitution.
As well as offering qualified education and counselling on the risks associated with commercial sex, it also provides professional help with regard to alcohol and drug addiction, which are a prevalent occurence within our specific occupation.


Secondly, no one forces a performer to do a double-anal.
Whilst a director/producer may request it, it is still such an extreme act that a performer would not be frowned upon for refusing to perform it.
If a performer agrees to perform a double-anal, it is out of their own choice and their agreement to do so is either because they are experienced and aware of their capabilities or it because they wish to use it as short cut to becoming, through notoriety, a known name who can demand higher rates.

Speaking personally, I performed a double anal when I felt I had reached the time whern I could achieve it without causing myself personal harm. I would suggest that every conceivable suggestion/observation has now been aired and it is in the hands of those in the industry to act on the matter as they see fit.

As I understand it, there are moves afoot to seriously address the problems and whilst they are difficult, they are not unsurmountable.

Slanging matches are out of order and non-productive.

This is an emotive subject but as with all serious matters, should be approached in a cold-blooded, calculated way. Innuendos and half-truths have no place, neither does "95%" of the facts.

In public, i.e. herein, the subject has been done to death. Now let the real work begin under the auspicies of those best informed/qualified.

If outside help in the form of technicians etc is needed, then I have no doubt that it will be obtained.

Joanna you have raised many points but the one i will pick up on is double anal, everyone to there own but i find this practice, apart from being a proven health risk, distasteful and totally un erotic (my opinion only) it obviously comes about by a producers inability to use their imagination by way of different lighting, angles locations, models to introduce something new to the viewing public.
