LA Direct models seem to be one of the few agencies over there who are still supplying girls...rather sad in my opinion when its fronted by a girl from the UK! They most definitely lose a lot of respect for this in my opinion for not putting the girls ahead of their profit margin.

More worring was the call I got on Friday night a production crew from L.A wanted to come here and work, BRINGING THEIR OWN GUYS, as they can shoot their type of stuff right now.

This is my biggest concern with doing any hardcore work right now mate...at the end of the day some film producers, models and agencies rely on the porn industry as their sole income...some just don't seem to have thought about any sort of fall back in case there are problems. So in their minds they have 2 choices, don't pay the rent and bills and do the sensible and decent thing or (as many of these people seem to be doing) take the risk (or as stated by Phil take the risk elsewhere!!!), some even lying about their recent work status, and continue on as if nothing has happened.

I still think it utterly bizarre that girls are actually choosing NOW to get in to porn simply because there is a gap in the industry due to many of the well known people being cautious...there is a reason why the top people are taking a break...simply put your lives may depend on it!

Everyone seems to agree that it was irresponsibility that started this...however there seem to be a lot of people crawling out of the woodwork that don't seem to realise what being responsible is and STILL don't appreciate the potential issues, either that or they simply don't care about them!

Most Bob yes, but not ALL! It's only a recommendation, there is no way to enforce it if some cowboys want to ignore the obvious risks.

I for one do not see the entire porn industry in the states shutting up shop for 2 months, but it begs the question who are classed as being the ?at risk? performers, for instance say somebody who is shooting b/g scenes for his internet site which has to rely on shooting a scene at least once a week, they might not class themselves as being in the porn ?pool? but surely if they work with an adult performer who has recently performed in an adult production that would put both of them at risk, but these sites rely on updating their content weekly to survive.
