Terrence Higgins Trust & Unprotected sex

Hi Everybody
If someone could get an Aids expert to talk to you girls about the catching of the illness it would be good, any contact through vaginal or anal entry unprotected with a person who as the illness will mean you'll almost certainly get hiv. Women have a 99% chance of getting it where as a mans antibodies means the odds are about 50% (men please don't take chances as you could also be unlucky).
If you are going to give oral sex & you have bleeding gums or mouth ulcers don't chance it as again you'll catch the illness, if your mouth is fine then all will be okay as the gastric acids in your body take care off the HIV antibodies but we always advise any girls we film to dribble it out & not swallow, this way the public know he as spunked & you know your safe.
Please! Please! don't think your safe if your screwing as any fluid before the man cums contains the HIV virus.
If one of the model agenices could arrange a Aids adviser from the Terrence Higgins Trust they would be able to explain the above in more detail & give you leaflets, i only know of this because John my partner had to a 2 day course with them when he worked for Social Services.
Girls enjoy what your doing but please don't endanger your lives over a film
as porn will go on even if its has to be changed a bit.

The post you just made makes sex sound extremely dangerous. Odds of 99% chance of getting HIV for women and a 50% chance for men are way above the odds I have read about on the internet.
have a look at
this study suggests the probability of meeting somebody with HIV generally AND contracting the disease is one in 588(and that is in Africa). I have seen studies suggesting odds of 1 in 1000 in europe. I saw a study saying that if you have vaginal sex with somebody with HIV, the chances of infection are 1 in 100.
Anal sex is much riskier, with odds ranging from 1 in 10 to 1 in 3(with an infected partner), which is why many gay men have HIV.
Odds for oral are way below vaginal, meaning significantly less than 1 in 1000 in europe.
I think it is important for people to be careful with HIV testing(in the porn industry), and safe sex outside porn. I respect your post in that you are encouraging people to be safe. I feel that mentioning figures of 99% chance of catching HIV is simply scaremongering. Be safe, but dont stop enjoying sex.

Hi mistersuave
If i'm wrong then there's no harm having a person from the Terrence Higgins Trust attend a meeting of the UK Porn stars, i'm sure deep in your heart you don't want to put anyone at risk with the ridiculous odds you put above. The Terrence Higgins Trust is an authority on the subject & it's also a charity with no money making motives, girls if the agencies don't want to contact them do it yourselfs as they are friendly people who will take time to listen & give advise.

Kim,
While I agree with your sentiments, if you were right every single girl Darren James worked with would show a positive HIV test and then most of the guys they worked with too...clearly that is not the case is it.
In fact the girls that have contracted it seem to be the anal internal cum shot girls which as has already been stated gives a MUCH higher chance of contracting the disease from an infected partner.

As you know Denise odds given by different organisations will differ, this is why i put the site up for every to read as it gives a varied aspect of known organisations, for those knowing the risk thats fine but for girls like Layla who think intercourse is fine as long as the man don't cum is very upsetting as you would think there would be agencies to explain to the girls the facts.
Take a look on hiv.com as it's there as an informational site to help people, people who have worked with us will know weve always campaigned for a safer enviroment for girls/boys in the amateur industry & now we can only give advice to a pro industry which will fall apart if it serious advice is not taken from known HIV organisations, the message above is only to help & not hinder.

Whether your statistics are strictly correct or not is neither here nor there. You deserve credit for encouraging a responsible attitude to unprotected sex. The only slight reservation I would have is concerning swallowing. Few people have wholly healthy mouths with no lesions whatsoever. In any event it is a fairly long journey before gastric juices can get to work and you cannot be sure all is well on the way down. Nevertheless your efforts to encourage adult performers to be responsible are sensible.

Try this link
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A819966
This is a seriuos matter , and people should be informed , in fact it's so important it stopped me just idly lurking around here .
HIV is not that infectious (0.3% chance per hetero encounter ) , but some things are dangerous , the mucous membranes mentioned in this link include mouth tongue eyes under the foreskin and the inside of your nose .
The info on tests here is also important , perhaps everyone should have all 3 to start with before going onto the DNA based one , RNA is the intermediate code that is made after the DNA molecule splits . It then assembles a DNA copy from the proteins it collects and 2 copies of DNA can then coil up on the double helix again..
Great forum all.

Hi Kim, We have already had various meetings and long discusions with the correct people here in the UK, The people behind the BAIHA have been working on everything leading up to the meeting this week, Posting the HIV.com site was good idea but not much use to us as it totally USA based and ok it gives you some info but it ends there. This is not the way, you have to have order in place, if someone in the UK wants information personally the should look at which is who we are dealing with. Before anyone swamps them with questions read the site through, The Aids stuff is important, but more important right now in the UK is STD's.
I have personally spoke with some of the top people in this organisation which has virtually every HIV/STD testing clinic under its contol, these are the people and I trust them, BAIHA was the topic of many conversations in their meeting last weekend in Bristol, most of the people who care or attended the meeting last month know this and the other things going on behind the scenes..
Two things as a note, ants as we are to HIV have to work together to beat it.
The second note is when I have asked every clinic or adviser what one thing could I do to improve the system the all answer the same thing.
No shows, the amount of time wasted on models not turning up on time or not at all for appointments......so maybe sorting this lie's in some simple steps we can all take.
To defend Layla she is switched on and understands the dangers. The pre-come theory and stuff like that puts us in test tubes and talks about theory's the main reason the adult industry escapes most of the problems normal fun loving couples face is because of the ejac always being on face or tits etc, the latest fad for internal cumshots especialy in the ass after its had a piano shoved up to me seem obvious.
We need to get real here we will not stop shagging we will not use condoms we will take proper precations and test's choose partners more carfully then go on making great porn as we Brit's do,
Phil McC
