Uncle Ben will be the best person to respond, but Ben Dover Volume 1 has a fair chance of being the first, followed by Volume 2 and so on. The first film must have been released around 1991. Many of these early scenes were re-released in films with names, and released again as R18.

Of course Ben was directing as Steve Perry for Private earlier than this and before that a performer.

You may be thinking of 'I was a teenage gaylord' circa 1980, one of Bens finest moments, the scenery was stunning, sound and production out of this world, er....cant remember the plot, but they all die!

.......I well remember 'Ben's Cretaceous Cuties', in which stout wooden clubs featured quite heavily, and the seminal (and I use the word advisedly) 'Triassic Totty from Tottenham', co-starring a rather large Triceratops with an endearing lisp and appallingly-applied mascara.

Rumour has it that there is/was a h/c version of One Million Years B.C knocking around, with Raquel Welch in some rather racy footage, but apparently it was just a blatant rip of the much earlier 'Dover's Dirty Devonian Diplodocuses', with extra farting and bad jokes.

Didn't that movie win the oscar for art direction? With it's memorable scenes of primitive toadstools in the most unlikely places?

Quite right- and Ben's acceptance speech was a hoot, especially when he spaffed in Katharine Hepburn's eye.

Spencer T was so impressed he promptly agreed to star with her in 'Guess Who's Coming'.........
