Just bought a Phil McAvity R18 dvd from an outlet in Oxford. The box cover is a proper printed one and also the dvd is obviously a genuine version but here is my confusion...the film title is 'Fuck Truck episodes 5,6,7 and 8'. At the bottom it says '2 DVD'. Now call me naive but I thought that was 2 dvd's with all four episodes but when I got it home its actually one dvd with only one scene from each of those episodes, so only 4 scenes in total. I paid ?40 quid for it so expected it to be a double dvd with all the episodes in full. I can't see this film listed on the database but its definitely a genuine version because of the titles, genuine box, genuine first edition disk etc.
Rip off or have I missed something?

The numbering of the Fuck Truck titles is a problem as there were at least three sequences. First there was the pre-R18 sequence of tapes 1 to 4.

Then some of these (from nos. 3 and 4) were re-released on R18 VHS, at 2 scenes to a tape. For the R18 releases a scene = an episode.

Then the scenes were put on to DVD at four scenes (episodes) to a DVD; so I suspect this is the second Fuck Truck DVD (hence the 2) containing four scenes (episodes) which were previously on the R18 VHS tapes Fuck Truck 3 and Fuck Truck 4. The Fuck Truck 1 DVD would have the four scenes (episodes) which were on the R18 VHS tapes Fuck Truck 1 and Fuck Truck 2.

I haven't got the DVDs, just the tapes; so I'm not absolutely certain which scenes were on which DVDs, but the above is a reasonable approximation. No doubt Phil will correct me if I'm wrong.

You paid 40 quid because many licensed sex shops still sell at rip off prices.

I thought they were knocking these off for about a quid in most london sex shops - my mate got one for 80p !

Thanks Mate, that explains it well. I'm sure it isn't an intended rip off just some clever packaging but at least I know now how the film was compiled which is some consolation.

The Fuck Truck web site is cheaper; AND there are a few hundred otherwise unpublished stills from the shoots.

The 'Fuck truck' titles were also released as softcore versions - as 'Sex truck', certified 18. These were numbered differently as well from the R18 VHS and DVDs.
