Some idiots will pay silly amounts.
But if you look at some girls sites it's very reasonable. Angel Long currently charges $90 for 6 months membership with 2 shows a week. Work out the cost per minute and its peanuts.

Seriously though, I know some guys will pay anything from $3 a minute upwards its not for me or I guess most punters.
In my experience when girls have a webcam on their site many members don't watch it anyway, or, correction, don't log on to the chat.
Strange but true.
I know of one site where members could have a free 121 after 6 months membership, most didn't take it up.

I had a very successful run with a site dedicated to one model, and the membership would pay a lot for material shot to order, but when polled on live web cam, and 1 to 1 web cam, they were just not interested.

She regularly appears on a very high quality (which most are not) peeing web cam, which is very successful, but mainly so because it is free to the members of the site which operates it. The site funds the web cam shows, not the other way round.

Same model tried a girl/girl web cam run by another photographer, but it failed miserably. The content was good, and plenty of people watched the free-view, but none of them were interested in paying for the 1 to 1.

The viewers for that, and my own membership just didn't put any real value on live 1 to 1 web cam. (But then I suppose it's as cheap to go to a studio for an hour on their amateur modelling days and see it real life). They want to be able to keep stuff to view again. This is why I believe streaming video is hated so much.

No doubt Phoneline/mobile billing would bring in the money the way chatlines/babecast type of stuff does, but then you have the same moral issues with varifying age of viewers.

Although if you do make a success of it I would be interested in the set up you decide to use.

That's a good point actually, one of the main reasons web cams are not used more by site members is the fact that members cannot always be available at broadcast time, and if it's 1 to 1 work, cannot always stay hanging round long enough in a queue while she works for the previous punter. And of course US punters want it at different times to UK punters. It's a logistical nightmare unless she's going to spend long periods of time sat in front of the camera.

The overseas punters don't exist in my experience. I've been a member of 2 sites where the girls put on sessions to suit US viewers but nobody from the other side of the pond logged on.
But I'm frankly puzzled by punters and webcams. I enjoy the chat and the show but why you would join a site with a webcam and not log on is a mystery. I'm told that, judging by the traffic, there are usually more people just watching the pic. than are in the chat.
