Anyone heard of NSVIDEO ?

Hi

I am almost sure I am not going to pass this work offer to her but I thought I would check. I have had an email from someone whose email address suggests they are called NSVIDEO. They have sent me an email for me to pass on to Nikki Lodge, who is on my site. They say she will be paid and the shoot will be in London but that the final product won't reach the market! They say they will be sold to private collectors?
This isn't normal is it?
I am not in the industry as you know so I thought I would check before I just deleted the email

Cheers

The majority of responses to models' promotion on open-to-all sites like your own will be from the average bloke on the street who wants to film a model for himself. Many believe girls will not work with the average bloke on the street, (although they will) so they invent some name which makes them sound like a company. Having said that I haven't the time to re-launch my sites at the moment due to being absolutely swamped with shooting material for "private collectors."

One thing you should think carefully about, however, is your own role in this.

Are you setting youself up as an agent for these girls? Is that what they get in exchange for the free pictures you ask them for? If so you need to check out all job offers properly and ensure you yourself comply with all UK agency laws.

Or are you just displaying their pictures for them, in exchange for being alowed to use them as free material on your referral site? If this is the case then you should forward ALL mail to them and allow them to decide what is genuine, and to make their own decisions about safety etc.

References are the key. Who have they worked with in the past, who can vouch for their crediblity, where do they want to shoot, will they provide forms of identification and sign a declaration of non-publication form.

The vast majority of a model's ENQUIRIES come from free promotion sites, and the hundreds of free model sites. The vast majority of their WORK comes from trusted agents and word of mouth from other models.

Thanks for your help Number 1, I am sure this offer isn't from a professional. The idea behind my site is to promote the model and/or their website. The reason I put my email address on Nikki's is that the last thing I want is for her or any of the models on my site to get invasive or insulting emails from my site. Now this certainly isn't in that category, its actually very well written and more importantly respectful. I am certainly not setting myself up as an agent, I will leave that to the professionals. Nikki's page on my site is just a way of promoting her. However i did get this email so I thought I better check it out.
Thanks for your advice, its appreciated

Hi Neil

Not intending to speak out of turn.

If you are filtering emails for models (even if you are not charging or financially benefiting) you are still legally classed as a manager/agent as you are acting as "The Middle Man".

Hi Michelle
Thanks for the info, but I am pretty sure this was a one off. I have no intention of sending the email on to Nikki.

Thanks for you help
I really just wondered if anyone had heard of them but I think Number1 had it right in his post. Just someone who though he had to make a name up

Sorry, no idea, but it's a biggish website (American)

http://www.newsensations.com/indexv.php

It's a long shot though, i'm sure there are many people with NSVideo if you shorten the words, and if it was New Sensations, maybe he would have signed it New Sensations instead.
