The only person who can answer that question is yourself mate. If you truly want to do it, which is the only way to guarantee the end result will be worthwhile, then you'll already know!
I hate to join the ranks of the cynics, but if you're already having doubts I strongly suspect this project will never see the light of day. Sorry!
But in answer to your question (for my money)- quality British product is always worth producing. Obviously.

if you have the budget do it...why the fuck not.
concentrate your efforts on the production, make it stylized and avoid the cliche of loading it with self referential humour, Irony or school boy pisstakes as the English are want to do from time to time, our sense of Humour is lost on the continentals and the Americans, and it will, I think lessen the impact of the Sex. Exotic sets and Locations are not enough without really powerfull Sex Scenes, keep that uppermost in your mind, and remember also that access to all the Rigs, Jibs and High End Digi Camera's in themselves do not make a hot sex scene, only good direction, clear ideas and a vision of the end product will create that.
my very humble opionion.

The most important thing to think about is distribution, before spending thousands of pounds in production make sure you have worked out a distribution strategy.

Yes i agree with Zorro check for the right distribution first but also follow your heart as well because cult movies can me made on even the cheapest budget as long as there is imagination, don't spend money you can't get back within a year of making the film/series as distribution companies only think of themselves, you make the deals & let them follow your rules.
If you need help distributing the film after its made we can put you on to a new British company just starting.
All the best Kim xxx
