Other STDs besides AIDS in the industry?

The following is taken from the current thread on RAME "Other STDs besides AIDS in the industry?"

"What happens to performers who are routinely tested when they are
diagnosed with diseases besides HIV? Are they still able to perform
or are they immediately quarantined? I'm talking about herpes,
HPV(genital warts), chlaymidia, syphillis, etc..

It's big news when a tiny number of performers are exposed to HIV, but
rarely do you hear anything when it comes to other STDs. Are there
any reliable numbers out there? Does anyone keep track? AIM?

I find it hard to believe that the small pool of male actors who've
been at it for years have not caught anything. Or is this one of the
best kept dirty secrets of the porn industry?

It's that assumption that makes it tricky, right? Some dude might not
mention he has hpv because, hey, what's the big deal. Then you're
screwed.

I recall that Rocco did an interview where he talked at length about
having herpes. After that , I would always wonder, why the hell is this
woman (Savannam for example) all revved up about banging Rocco? Who
wants to spin that cylinder?

Probably it's tough to find talent that doesn't already have something
or other, I'd imagine. There's a few miles on everybodY"

Depressing thoughts - anyone any comments ?
