I use walpole all the time, You cant make a girl turn up, if she is going to let you down she will. however Ian and I are very old mates, and he will go back to the office at ten oclock at night if need be.
It is pot luck somedays, when filming. All the good organistion goes out the window if two models male or female dont turn up. Do we hold the agencies responsible, maybe so.

We Have used Ian on every one of our productions. And as Marino said if a girl doesnt turn up Which does happen some times,Ian will go out of his way no matter what time of day or night...to get a replacement.
Keep up the good work

i have used them a few times and found ian and debbie very helpful and like has been said before with all the best intentions and preparations in the world if the model decides to not get out of bed and turn her mobile off or take a better paying job an hour before the shoot (which has happened to me) there is not a lot anyone can do

Very reliable - I frequently use Walpole and Ian has his finger very much on the pulse. On the odd occasion of a no-show a suitable sub has been found at pretty short notice.

If it wasn't for Walpole back in 2001 finding me an Indian model who would appear in, and be interviewed for a channel 5 programme, I would have been lost....
Since then they have always sent me pics of the latest ethnic models almost as soon as they receive them, themselves. I in turn take models who I think suitable, in to them to be added to their roster...
Though I must say I never knew they shot videos for clients...
Walpole rock... Even if they never have time to talk on the phone to motor mouth me

Here here - I agree!! Ian is a top guizzaaa! (very rarely have we been at a total lose due to a NO SHOW situation thanks to Ian's efforts) On the whole a nice chap - and he is the MAIN man as far as agencies go!!
(Okay, cheque now please Ian!!??)

Yes there is, you could tell the rest of us about it. You could (and presumably you do) report her to the agency. They in turn should give her a lecture about professional standards, contracts, commitments, and honour, and how anyone who cannot rise to these basic obligations is a looser, waster and probably a chav to boot. She should then be given one last chance to redeem herself before she is thrown off the books and other agencies and producers alerted. They, in turn, should not entertain her until it is clear that she has got her act together. The problem is though, they do, because there are now too many at the adult entertainment trough, decorum has gone out of the window, and everyone is scrabbling for a place. This just has the effect of lowering standards in general - the problem model isn't to concerned that ABC agency have sacked her, she knows XYZ agency are short of models - any models - and they'll be daft enough to take her on, and of course, there are always those silly simpering amateur photographers - you can twat them about at will, they'll still give you a great reference, and then they just come back for more!
Officer Dibble - won't stand for any nonsense (unless they're international Premier League)

this was actually a girl booked through walpole and when i phoned ian he said what had probably happened was she had been offered a better paying job.i have to stress that both ian and debbie phoned her and left messages for her and were both extremely apologetic and pissed off and offered to find me another girl but i was so pissed off i declined.i put her details up on the model no shows website and i would hope that more photographers and producers looked at it before booking a model
