Hi
I'm a photojournalist based in London. I'm in the middle of working on a serious documentary/art photography book due to be published next year. The subject is on people who use their bodies and minds in a sexual way to make a living in the UK. I am a respected photographer (not blowing my trumpet, just giving you my credentials!) and work for magazines world wide on serious issues, in the UK I am commissioned by The Observer, Independent and Sunday Times Magazine.
Obviously I am looking to photograph actors/actresses, directors/producers in the UK porn industry at work, as workers. I would also do portraits. I am after images that are more abstract than literal.
This is an interesting documentation of the sex industry in the UK, with full respect for those involved. No judgements are being made. We are used to seeing documentries and features on the porn industry in the USA, but I think the British industry has its own unique identity (its this character that I want to capture) and I think it has been underrepresented in the media and certainly has never been the subject of a documentary photography book.
Anyone interested please contact me, I can show you my work and we can take it from there. I have already photographed on porn sets with the director Anna Span and I am fully awre of the sensitivities involved. But I must emphasis that I am not a pornographic/erotic/glamour photographer but a documentary photographer and this is a serious look at a fascinating subject at the beginning of the 21st century.

Not sure who referred me, I just sent my intentions to 'info', they suggested I might get positive responses from this forum. Why do you ask if you don't mind me asking?

No I don't pay. Documentary photographers/film makers don't pay, otherwise documentries wouldn't get made. Its an observation of life. Sorry.
