I bought a R18 DVD today but its Region O which does not playback in colour on my PS2.
Why wasn't it sold as Region 2 DVD when i bought in a store in London!?
So I have to watch in black and white!
Is there any way around this so I can watch it in colour?!

play it in a standard DVD player. I have some region 0 PRIVATE DVDs that play B&W on a PS2, but playback fine on my PC or regular player

As far as I know all porn DVDs are region 0 (region free) so its highly unlikely to be the region coding thats causing the problem.
The whole region coding thing is basically one big con by the major (non adult) film companies so they can control the release and pricing of titles in different regions of the world - thankfully the porn industry has never embraced this!!

Cheers but it's strange because I once bought a DVD from one shop (B. Dover Title) and that plays fine in my PS2.
The one I bought today is from another shop (Rude Britannia Title) is the one that plays B&W on PS2.
Both are R18 titles.

One of them is probably in NTSC and not the normal PAL signal at a guess

Some titles released by European distributors are Region 2 where they do not have the rights to distribute the titles in the US.
But very very few porn DVDs are region 1.

The reason most films are made in 0 Region is because dvd players in England play this format same as America, being a worldwide format it's more easier for us producers to get them pressed. Some British companies do make them in Region 2 but i don't think this will be for very long.
