It is normal for a webmaster to receive copies of emails in case of any problems or for many other reassons. Sometimes a model can't get to her pc, then the webmaster can contact the model to give her the info. This could be about an important job, specially if the webmaster is the models friend and not a stranger

There is one model listing site where it has been proved that the webmaster receives the emails, and if he doesn't like the sender doesn't pass them on to the models and in fact contacts the sender rather rudely. I know one very legitimate person who told me this happened to him, when he tried to contact a model on this particular site.

Other than that, I am 99.999% sure that if an email is sent to a models portfolio site she does receive a copy :)

I can't see that there is anything wrong with someone moderating the messages for models. After all in todays world there are some rather worrying people out there. Surely the models safety is what we are all concerned about .

As long as you know you're dealing with a 3rd party.

Good Point Peter,

And as long as the model knows that she can trust her moderator to do the job properly and not abuse his/her position. Joe made an excellent point on that subject earlier. The job of moderator is surely best done by someone the model knows well and trusts. Also helps if the moderator is within the industry otherwise how can he/she possibly advise a model on what jobs seem ok or not ?

I agree if the model and the moderator of the messages aren't friends or at least professional colleagues ie model and manager. I wouldnt want a third party reading and deciding what emails I see if I didn't know them. But I think it makes sense for some

A girl with any sense will be independant these days, i advise any model to take care of her own business as it will only cost them one way or another.
