Hi All,
Sounds like I missed a good party last week and would have liked to have chewed the fat with a number of people about the rising number of amateur models who are asking guys to pay for be in shoots for web content.
Over the past few years, I've helped out on a number of shoots for free, just don't shoot my face, and have gotten retested as I fancied getting involved again with some shoots for fun.
I spoke to a number of models who had put posting around the web looking for guys for shoots and they said they needed guys for b/g xxx or party / gang shoot but I'd have to pay between ?50 and ?150 for the privelage and sign a model release form.
Surely if the model is going to use these photos on their membershp website (be that Wives Club / The Adult Coalition / Southern Charms / et al), the male involved shouldn't be asked to pay?
And if the guys in question have taken time to get tested, it should be a positive thing?
I enjoy being involved part-time in the adult industry but worry this trend is simply a way for the website owners to make more money and re-inforce the UK porn industry bad image around the globe.
Thoughts everyone else?
Harry

Hi Harry, welcome to the cynical and jaded world of porn where nothing comes for free in this world. I suspect these companies want you for the same reason tokeep their costs down and help pay for the lady doing the do so to speak. lets be honest, where a bloke will do it for fun, most ladies won't, especially at the best of times they don't really fancy any of the blokes anyway (not making judgements about your looks btw).
Having done something similar I couldnt charge any of the blokes and look them in the eye but I do offer them a freebie of the dvd when it comes out and I do front the cost for the girl(s). Maybe some of these other companies/ clubs should start doing this and stop adopting a cynical attitude that blokes are gagging so much for it that they'll pay.
If you have to pay, why supply a model release and i.d?
There's trying to make money and taking the piss but alas most if not all guys are subscribing to the notion I mentioned earlier. Never give a sucker an even break so quoth Samsung

I am no lawyer but if you are paying and having sexual relations does this not come under the realms of prostitution?
If so then these "companies" should rethink their approach and adopt something more like one eyed jack offers.

I've seen one extremely cynical attempt where you are expected to pay ?2k+ for the full cost of production of a couple of scenes staring yourself that are of course only for personal use and cannot be distributed.
Buried away in the small print is the requirement to sign a model release due to 'legal technicalities'. Now I wonder what the real purpose of that is
